Naha doesn't have a subway system - buses were the only form of local transport until the monorail system was built a couple of years ago. I absolutely loved the monorail - I made Flick wait underneath the tracks with me until a train came along so I could take this picture. And yes, I am sad. But c'mon, it's a monorail! How many of them do you see? Does anyone else have the song from that Simpsons episode going round in their head right now? ("Monorail, Monorail, MONORAIL!!!!!)
