The main gate leading up to Yasaka-jinja (jinja = shrine), which is about ten minutes walk from my house. The hydrangeas are out in full force.
Good shrine, suitably hoary and menacing. I never get tired of them, especially when they're like this. About the rice fields, don't they have the little raised footpaths between the parcels up that way? Not the same as actually walking barefoot in the grass, but still pleasant.
