Hi Lewis,

I'm WideIsland's Mom living in the beautiful mountains of central AZ. Linked over to your blog from his. Our snows here are Camelot snows, but in Vermont one January I climbed onto our roof of dammed ice 4 inches thick and chipped away at it with an ax at the age of 53 or so and I definitely don't recommend it. Foolish beyond imagining. On the other hand the enormous roof of the theatre gym complex at a secondary school where I taught collapsed under snow, but thankfully on a week-end when no one was about.

I have to say Lewis seeing your pics and having just arrived back from the UAE in the Middle East, I am thankful to be where snows are gentle and lovely, giving a 61 year old woman such as myself a great excuse to curl up with a good book and the let the AZ sun do its thing. I've hidden the snow shovel from myself. Of all the things that managed the journey over the high seas from the UAE, it I could have done without. Since we live in the so called high desert where there is never enough moisture I will echo Paul's sentiments.

Stay Warm

Gail
